Number 19 is Deptford Lenger Original Mix by Casa Amor. Kicking off with a little driving baseline that eats into you before it gives way to a lovely “Can you Feel it?” vocal. Number 18 is Beatdown Extended Mix by GHSTGHSTGHST. This one nearly got put right back on the shelf, but after I made it past the first pretty basic minute I realised it was a good track in disguise. Number 17 is TE QUIERO Original Mix by Isaac Rodriguez, Roy Garza. Yes, it’s I love you and I can say I may love this track a little. As you may have guessed it’s a Latin-infused house track with a nice chunky beat. The beat is pretty relentless until you get that Spanish vocal breakdown. One for the summer I think. Number 16 is Chin Ga Chguk Original Mix by Dura, Oziriz. Think of an airy light intro track and you’ll be on the money with this one. It slowly lures you into a slightly eerie piano breakdown. That piano continues into the bridge and it layers some funkier sounds as if someone injected the decks with some funktoipia. You’ll see some hands raising in the air on this one. Don’t let this one fool you, this tune starts off rather innocent and gentle, which makes for easy mixing, at about a minute and a half the track switches on you and your ears are delighted with a great baseline.. Number 6 is Pending Original Mix by C. Da Afro, J.B. Boogie. If you’ve followed me for while you’ll know I can’t resist a well-crafted remix. This one does have me stumped on its original. Part of me thinks it’s from the ’70s another part thinks it’s a track from the ’00s. Anyhow, a lovely vocal house track top keeps the commercial ears happy. Number 1 is Riskier Original Mix by Peter Ellis. This is an excellent track. It’s almost two tracks in one. Peter gives us a simple initial breakdown, that adds a nice piano rift before the beat kicks in again. However, it’s the second and then the third breakdowns where the funk and the dirt just build and build. I expect this one to be on quite a few DJ lists in 2023.
